[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Seoul Government will conduct tests on whether pesticide ingredients are found in eggs distributed on the market from August 20 to November 9.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and 25 district offices will cooperate to collect eggs randomly from marts in Seoul, traditional markets, and food stores.

A total of 33 types of pesticides including Fipronil and Bifenthrin, which were problematic in the last year's pesticide eggs, will be tested together with the Tetracyclines, Quinolones and Sulfa Drug. In particular, the ministry plans to conduct precise tests on pesticides that were problematic last year.

If insecticide ingredients are detected beyond the standard, the relevant authorities and the local governments will immediately be notified and the distribution will be shut down by recalling and disposing of them.
