[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Ministry of Environment announced that it will push for an environmental technology development project that invests total of 188.2 billion won for seven years from 2019 to 2025 for technological innovation in the water and sewage sector.

The environmental technology development project consisted of 30 detailed technologies in three fields based on the fourth industrial revolution, including the optimal management of micro and new pollutants, low energy and high efficiency core materials processing technology, and intelligent management technology.

The Environment Ministry expects the development of environmental technology to dramatically improve water and sewerage services, including effective management of new pollutants and the reduction of energy use.

"We will contribute to the welfare of the people by systematically responding to the water management issues arising from climate change, industrial activities, and changes in the living environment through the development of the technologies," said official from the Ministry of Environment.
