[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Ministry of Environment (announced that it will hold the "Environmental Policy Proposal Contest" from October 15 to November 13 in order to reflect the environmental policy proposal that the people think.

In the contest, policies will be proposed to all sectors related to environmental policy to improve the quality of people`s lives, including wrong practices in the operation of environmental administration, improvement of the system, and measures to enhance safety of living.

The contest is open to all Koreans, and public officials, organizations, and corporations.

The results of the contest will be revealed on Dec. 21 at the ministry`s website, and the proposal submitted to the contest will be evaluated in five categories: creativity, policy efficiency & economics, coverage, continuity and effort.

"We will actively reflect the creative thinking of the public and public officials in government policies, administrative systems and operations through this contest to enhance the quality of environmental services to the public," said an official of the Ministry of Environment.
