[The Hwankyung Ilbo] In recent three years, measurement of indoor air quality of multi-use facilities, including daycare centers, has shown that the number of facilities that exceed the standard level continues to rise.

According to the analysis of the data submitted to Rep. Kang Hyo-sang of the Liberty Korea Party from the Ministry of Environment, 171 out of 2433 multi-use facilities across the country exceeded indoor air quality standards.

In particular, 163 daycare centers (95% of 171 total) exceeded the standard for indoor air quality.

Four other medical institutions are also found to be exceeding the standard, which is feared to cause damage to those with relatively weak immune systems.

In addition, the number of multi-use facilities that exceeded the standard for indoor air quality in the last three years increased from 59 in 2015, 76 in 2016, and to 171 in 2017.
