[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The National Assembly approved 8.14 trillion won, an increase of 17.6% (about 1.21 trillion won) from this year's budget (6.93 trillion won).

In the process of deliberation at the National Assembly, budget for improvements in air quality in underground stations (+23.9 billion won) and budget for implementation of hazardous waste (+12.3 billion won) were additionally increased.

It is expected that major reduction projects with proven effects will be expanded significantly to accelerate reduction of fine dust, enhance public health protection and scientific measurement monitoring, supply of low-emission vehicles, and strengthen technological competitiveness in the air environment.

In addition, 69.7 billion won has been confirmed as an additional increase in budget for the maintenance of the old waterworks (+82.7 billion won) and the investigation of the old waterworks (+10 billion won).

Accordingly, the Ministry of Environment held an extra budget review meeting (8.2) and plans to ensure full management of the administration by focusing on the operation of the T/F and conducting an on-site inspection.
