[The Hwankyung Ilbo] According to the National Council on Climate and Air Quality and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s survey of 2,000 people on fine dust, 78.3% approved the implementation of the seasonal management system during high concentrations (from December to March) when fine dust is serious (opposite 4.9%).

73.5% of the respondents agreed with the restriction on urban operation of emission-grade 5 old vehicles (opposite 8.2%).

In the case of coal power plant shutdowns, 69% of the respondents (opposite 8%) agreed, and 55.7% agreed to raise the electricity rate (1,200 won per month).

79.5% of the respondents agreed to apply health insurance for health masks (opposite 4.9%).

In terms of international cooperation, measures include ▷ Diplomatic solutions such as bilateral and multilateral cooperation and international agreements 40.3% ▷ Strong demand to reduce fine dust in the relevant countries 34.5% ▷ Improvement of domestic fine dust 17% ▷ international lawsuits against the relevant countries 8.2%.

The survey period is from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6, and 2,000 adult men and women across the country aged 19 and older were surveyed online. The sampling error is ±2.19%p (95% confidence level).
