Daniel B. Whitley, director of the Overseas Agriculture Administration of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, participated in the symposium via a recorded video to expect for a positive outlook on biofuel trade and development between South Korea and the U.S.

Whitley, head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Overseas Agriculture Office, delivered a welcoming speech at the "Biofuels in a Climate Crisis and Carbon Neutral Era International Symposium" held at the Four Seasons Hotel Nuri Ballroom in Jongno-gu, Seoul on July 12th.


"Biofuels are a key tool to solve the problem of climate change worldwide," said Daniel B. Whitley, director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. "The U.S. administration is also continuing to support industries and others to reduce greenhouse gas emissions."

In addition, Whitney stated, "We have revived concerns about energy security in many countries that have been seeking alternatives to Russia's unfair attacks toward Ukraine as well as carbon neutrality," He concluded that, "Rich biofuels can help diversify the fuel supply."
