The main revision of the crisis management standard manual clarifies the role of the National Security Office in strengthening the function of the Blue House’s control tower in response to a major disaster and makes it possible to operate the 'Disaster Management Video Conference' from the initial stage.

In order to proactively manage disasters, the government will define monitoring and evaluation procedures for crisis symptoms at peacetime and clarify types of signs and symptoms to improve the flexibility of issuing crisis alerts according to the progress of the crisis situation.

In addition, a crisis management manual for the new disaster type (heat wave, cold wave) will be finalized.
