[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Ministry of Environment published the ‘2019 Environmental White Paper’ on September 16, which covers the achievements of various environmental policies pursued by the government and key environmental policies currently being implemented by the government from 2018 to the first half of 2019.

The first part outlines the environmental policy achievements such as establishing a sustainable production and consumption system, strengthening the environment of land use, implementing full-scale efforts to reduce fine dust, and consolidating the foundation of integrated water management.

The second part details various policies to guarantee the people's environmental rights based on three key words, including national health protection, environmental justice, and eco-social green transition.

The 2019 Environmental White Paper will be distributed to educational institutions, universities and other public libraries, and will be sold for 15,000 won from the end of this month through major bookstores nationwide.
