[The Hwankyung Ilbo] Seo Kyung-deok, a professor at Sungshin Women's University who has consistently campaigned to fight the Rising Sun Flag around the world, will announce to the world that the Rising Sun Flag " is a war flag" through the Tokyo Olympics, which will open a week later."

So far, the organizing committee of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics has excluded the Rising Sun Flag from the prohibited items because it is widely used in Japan and is not a political propaganda.

However, concerns over cheering for the Rising Sun Flag of the Japanese audience at the Tokyo Olympics have been resolved due to the decision to take the policy of zero attendance in Tokyo.

In response, Professor Seo said, "Tokyo is indifferent, but we cannot be relieved that soccer and cycling held in Miyagi, Shizuoka and Ibaraki prefectures will allow spectators."

He also added, "We should not forget that not only the cheering of the Rising Sun Flag in the stadium, but also the cheering of Rising Sun Flag was rampant throughout the streets of Tokyo at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan." 

In particular, Professor Seo said, "This time, it is important to actively report Koreans in Japan. "When watching the Tokyo Olympic Games on TV and mobile, it is also important to get information from Internet users," he said.

Currently, Professor Seo plans to report to major media around the world that the Rising Sun Flag (the war criminal flag) is found inside and outside the stadium during the Tokyo Olympics.

Meanwhile, Professor Seo Kyung-deok's team has consistently eliminated the design of Rising Sun Flag that was misused by major organizations and global companies over the past 15 years.
