Professor Seo Kyung-deok and Kimchi Universe participated in the production of the 2nd episode of the video and delivered the right food and culture about kimchi.

[The Hwankyung Ilbo] Rapper BewhY and Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungshin Women's University will produce a multilingual video on "Kimchi Universe Part 2: Korean Icon Kimchi" and inform domestic and foreign countries.

The video, co-produced by the Daesang Family House and the World Kimchi Research Institute, was first released in Korean and English. In particular, the second video was produced in the form of free communication with citizens by appearing in person as a "cultural episode" of kimchi following the "history episode" of kimchi in April.

This four-minute video not only introduces food culture, but also kimchi stories that greatly influenced Koreans throughout life culture, and new cultures that are being used as entertainment for young people today.

Professor Seo, who planned the event, said, "With Covid-19, we wanted to spread the right information about kimchi to the world these days when people around the world are interested in strengthening immunity."

He also added, "I wanted to promote South Korea as a 'country that kimchi originates from' by introducing Korea's unique culture of kimchi such as kimchi class, kimchi vacation, kimchi forecast, and kimchi bonus."

In particular, Professor Seo said, "Following the history and culture episodes, the third film is currently preparing for the 'global episode' of kimchi, and this time, we plan to produce it with Hallyu stars."

Meanwhile, Professor Seo Kyung-deok has been making headlines by posting kimchi advertisements on the New York Times' global edition in January, while continuing to promote Korea's representative Korean food such as kimchi, bibimbap, and makgeolli to the world.
