[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The 1st Fine Dust & Air Industry Fair to introduce the latest technologies related to fine dust and indoor and outdoor air quality, and to help small and medium-sized Korean companies find promising fine dust technologies and advance into foreign markets will be held from September 18 to 20 at COEX, Seoul.

More than 120 companies including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and Coway, which are companies involved in air quality measuring equipment, fine dust reduction equipment, air conditioning equipment, air appliances, indoor environment improvement products, and pollution control equipment, will participate in the Fair.

As the direction of domestic and foreign environmental policies has been changed to "safety and health," fine dust problem, which has a serious influence on health, is making big changes in domestic industry.

In addition, the issue of fine dust is expected to require long-term investments rather than short-term approaches, and development of technologies to fundamentally solve fine dust will be promoted along with the establishment of related infrastructures.

While size of domestic air industry is expected to grow to 3.7 trillion won by 2020, it is expected that this fine dust air industry fair will provide a business opportunity through exchange of technologies and raising awareness of industry.
