Environmental Foundation and 28 other members of the press conference plan to revise the Constitution to cope with the climate crisis.
[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Environment Foundation (Chairman Choi Yeol) held a press conference with 28 people from all social standings to propose an environmental constitution that states, "Korea has a duty to overcome the climate and biodiversity crisis and pass on sustainable environment to descendants."
The statement announced a plan to hold a public hearing to hear the background of Article 1-3 of the Constitution amendment, and to ask the National Assembly to pass Article 1-3 of the Constitution by collecting opinions from future generations of teenagers and opposition parties.
They proposed holding a referendum on constitutional amendment at the same time as the March 9, 2022 presidential election.
