"The potential value and meaning to biofuels must be emphasized."

[Four Seasons Hotel=The Hwankyung Ilbo] Hyun Jin Lim Reporter = Yoo Young Sook, former Minister of Environment, attended the "Biofuels in a Climate Crisis and Carbon Neutral Era International Symposium" held at the Four Seasons Hotel Nuri Ballroom on July 12th and delivered an opening speech.

Chairman Yoo Young Sook, who began by saying, "The Korean government declared the '2050 carbon neutrality'  initiative and promised the international community that carbon neutrality was triggered by the IPCC's (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 'Special Report' in 2018 following the 2015 Paris Agreement."

In addition, Chairman Yoo said, "I hope that many meaningful discussions on the role of biofuels will take place at this international symposium, so that the potential value and meaning of biofuels will be expressed properly."
