The concentration of fine dust (PM2.5) in the metropolitan area exceeded 50 ㎍ / ㎥ at 5 p.m. on March 26 and is expected to exceed 50 ㎍ / ㎥ on March 27.

Based on the fine dust forecast, the National Institute of Environmental Research estimated that the air has stagnated and the accumulation of fine dust continues due to the high atmospheric pressure in the southern part of the Korean peninsula.  

As a result of the extension of the measures, the alternative-day-no-driving system of public institutions and shutdown of parking lots in the Seoul public organizations will continue.

In addition, the government plans to strengthen the monitoring of illegal emission of air pollutants at workplaces using drones.
