[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Ministry of Environment plans to hold a policy debate on ‘reducing fine dust through the spread of eco-friendly traffic culture’ on March 18 from 3 p.m. at the National Assembly Member’s Office Building.

The environment-friendly traffic culture means to consider environment-friendly in all aspects of automobile-related government policy, enterprise production, and purchasing. Especially, it is a total expression of activating public transportation and walking in daily life.

The debate will focus on the discussion on ways to spread the eco-friendly traffic culture to reduce the emission of vehicles, which is the main source of fine dust.

“We will do our best to spread the ‘eco-friendly traffic culture’ not only by reducing the fine dust emitted from vehicles by various policies and cutting-edge technologies, but also by establishing public-private partnerships in which the society as a whole participates and resolves the reduction of fine dust,” said an officer of the Ministry of Environment.
