[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute are seeking operators to support 'Third Foreign Forest Resource Development Policy Loan' until Oct. 31 to expand overseas forestry investment and promote development of forest resources.

Target businesses include industrial and carbon emission afforestation, bio-energy afforestation, forest products processing plant and overseas forestry plant purchase business. Depending on the characteristics of each business, the repayment period differs.

Anyone who has reported a plan for an overseas forest resources development project under Article 7 of the Overseas Agriculture and Forest Resources Development and Cooperation Act, can apply for this loan.

“We will make active efforts to secure stable sources of timber and promote private companies' investment in overseas forest resource development,” said President of the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute.
