[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Ministry of Environment announced that the ministers of South Korea and China will hold talks on environment on February 26 in Beijing, China.

The two countries’ environment ministers will exchange views on environmental issues, including the reduction of fine dust, and discuss ways to expand cooperation in the environmental sector.

Environment Minister Cho Myung-rae plans to visit a business site in Shanxi Province, China, where Korean companies' air pollution reduction technology is actually applied, to expand environmental cooperation at provincial level.

Minister will also visit the Chinese environmental research institute located in Beijing to examine China's air quality monitoring operation, and check the implementation of cooperative projects by the Korea-China Environmental Cooperation Center, which opened in Beijing in June last year.
