[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The K-water announced that it held the first 'K-water People's Forum' with about 50 participants on April 3 in order to explore water-related ideas.

The first Forum was held with experts' explanations and participants' free discussions to draw up ideas for using tap water more reliably from the public's perspective.

First, the K-water experts started by explaining the importance of knowing tap water in order to inform the safety of tap water quality and efforts to change citizens' perception.

Based on this, participants held a free discussion and shared suggestions for water safety, such as providing preemptive information on items of concern to the public, such as microplastics, and how to check water quality using water information portal sites.

At the last stage of the forum, the participants visited the Cheongju Water Purification Plant of K-water and had opportunity to directly check the tap water production and supply process and experience safety.

Lee Hak-soo, CEO of K-water, said, “As a professional water management institution in Korea, we are expanding opportunities for communication and participation in order to innovate water management.”
