Refrain from outdoor activities as much as possible from noon to 18:00 in the heat wave.

[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Meteorological Administration (Director Park Kwang-seok) announced the results of comparative observations from July 21 to 28, when the heat wave was in full swing in a field environment in Gyeonggi-do Province.

The temperature of mobile automatic weather monitoring equipment (AWS) and ground temperature were compared in order to inform the danger of heat wave damage to farmers or outdoor workers working outdoors during the 0 summer season.

During the day (12:00-17:00), the ground temperature was about 5-18 degrees higher than the AWS temperature (1.5m high) in the field.

The highest daily temperature in the field was 34.7 at 15:40 and the highest ground temperature was 51.3 at 14:40.

Both the temperature and ground temperature remained high until 17:00, and in particular, the ground temperature.

The heat wave continued to occur for a week, with daily highs exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in the fields.

On average, the daily lowest temperature for seven days was 23 (6 AM) and the highest temperature was 34 degrees (15~-17 PM).

Daily high temperatures ranged from 34.1 (7.21. and 7.26.) to 35.3 (7.27.) degress.

In order to prevent damage from thermal diseases, special attention should be paid to outdoor activities in the homeless environment from noon to 17:00 in the event of a heat wave.

In the event of a heat wave, outdoor activities should be avoided from noon to 18:00 as much as possible, especially farming and outdoor activities close to the ground such as Kim Maggie should be avoided because they are very dangerous.

The temperature during this time period is a heat wave warning level, and caution is needed as a dangerous step that requires sufficient rest after working only in the morning and evening.

The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) provides countermeasures along with sensational temperature by segmenting them according to target and environment during the summer (May to September).

Sensory temperature is a supplement to the limitation of heat wave information considering temperature only because the temperature felt when humidity increased even at the same temperature increases together.

The targets are divided into: the elderly and the children, while the environment is divided into: the land, the vinyl house, the vulnerable living environment (side room),  the construction site, and the shipyard.

From today, 3,770 branches in Eupmyeon-dong (3,770 branches) will be provided twice daily (06, 18:00) every hour during the Gulpi period (Attention ▷ Warning ▷ Risk), and can be found on the Korea Meteorological Administration's Weather Nuri (themed weather-living weather information) and the mobile web.
