[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The World Water Challenge 2018, a contest for creative solutions to the 'water issue' that the world faces, will be launched.
The event, which was held for the first time at the 7th World Water Forum in 2015, is hosted annually by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The contest starts with receiving opinions on 'challenges' about the water problem to be solved by people or organizations of the world that are suffering from water problems such as water shortages, pollution and disasters, and invites public participation in finding solutions for the selected challenges.
The final contest and awards ceremony will be held at 'Korea International Water Week 2018 (KIWW 2018)' held in Daegu this September. The total prize money is 16 million won.
In particular, the contest also includes time to invite the selected challengers and aims to find the best solution that can be implemented through the discussion time with the proposed solution proposer.
