[The Hwankyung Ilbo] The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that it will hold the '6th East Asia winter Climate Outlook Forum' from November 7 (Wed) to 9 (Fri) in Seoul.
The East Asian Winter Climate Outlook Forum (EASCOF) is organized by the Korea, Japan, and Mongolian Meteorological Administration as part of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Regional Climate Outlook Forum (RCOF).
About 60 experts from China, Japan and Mongolia, including Korea, will attend the debate organized by the Korea Meteorological Administration.
A scientific analysis of the climate characteristics of last summer such as the heatwave and the winter weather forecast of the East Asian countries will be discussed in this forum.
Various research findings that may enhance the long-term forecast technology in East Asia, including El Nino forecasts and climate change in East Asia, will be introduced and a summary report of the discussions will be submitted to WMO after the meeting.
