Session 1 announced ethanol policies and effects in the United States, France, Philippines, and India.

[Four Seasons Hotel=The Hwankyung Ilbo] Hyun Jin Lim Reporter = On July 12th,  the first session of the "Biofuels in a Climate Crisis and Carbon Neutral Era International Symposium" hosted by the Environment Daily, the U.S. Embassy in Korea, and the U.S. Grains Council was held.

Kim Jong In, a professor of economics at Chung-Ang University, was the moderator of the session while Mr. Juan Sacoto, director of S&P Global Community Insights, Ms. Emily Marshall, director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's International Trade, Ms. Monika Lazoria, biofuel expert, Ruby B Guzman, director of the Philippines, and Ashok Pandey, a senior researcher at the Indian Center for Innovation and Transformation Research, participated in the session. 

Details include: Global carbon neutral policy and biofuel policy trend, U.S. ethanol policy and effect, and France's, Philippines', and India's ethanol policy and outlook.
